Position title:

General Builder

SRY Developments is seeking an experienced and dependable General Builder to support a range of residential and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will work across various build stages, from structural work to finishing, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general building duties including bricklaying, blockwork, and basic carpentry

• Assist with extensions, structural alterations, and refurbishments

• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately

• Maintain high standards of site safety, cleanliness, and organisation

• Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines

• Liaise with site managers and subcontractors as required

• Carry out snagging and finishing tasks when needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in general building or multi-trade roles

• Skilled in brickwork, groundwork, and structural alterations

• Familiarity with UK building codes and regulations

• CSCS card (required)

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
